New car

Our new car has proved very popular with Joe loving the armrests (strange child) and Ollie just loving it full stop. He was devastated when he discovered Mark had taken it to work this morning! However, it gave us the opportunity to make the most of the sunny day; we headed over the park and talked to the ducks, well Ollie talked to the ducks and shouted "Go away" at the geese. He does not stop talking all day long, asking questions about everything - he is very funny.
Joe was very tired today and I was quite tempted to keep him off school but I didn't. I think the long days at school are starting to take their toll.

Friday 13 March 2009

Well, back from the disco. I felt quite emotional for Joe as it was his first disco. He wore a tie with a waistcoat and trousers and his Converse trainers. He looked very dashing. Ollie and I stayed at the disco for about 20 minutes as Ollie was having just as much fun if not more than Joe. The kids had to find partners to do some dances with and Joe was wandering around looking lost trying to find someone to dance - I was very stressed standing on the sidelines. Fortunately, Max saved the day!
Will post a picture of them later.

Getting started

Well, I have decided that we all seem too busy to talk to each other on a weekly basis at the moment, so I thought I would set up this blog to keep you updated on what the St Albans branch of the Colman clan are up to.
So here it goes...
Joe is overexcited about Red Nose Day tomorrow and keeps singing about putting his face in a jelly and sitting in a baked bean bath!! I guess it is a song for the kids to sing tomorrow. He also has his first disco for which he already has a date. Well to be precise, his friend from school Jessica is coming around for tea and then we are heading off to the disco at the school at 5.30. And if that isn't enough excitement for one five-year-old, he gets to wear his pyjamas to school tomorrow, for which I was sent on a mission to find green buttoned-up PJs today. How precise. Well could I find any? Of course not, so he has ended up with stripey burglar type ones!
Ollie has spent most of the day with Kath while I try to get some work, which is proving rather tricky at the moment. 'Mum, it's just not dair (fair)' has replaced Ollie's other favourite phrase of 'Go away' and 'Im not well!' when ever he doesn't want to do something.
He spent an hour colouring pictures of Lightening McQueen in yesterday which is quite some time for a two-year-old. He also said 'I miss my mummy' when I picked him up yesterday! So lovable.
Mark is okay but a little stressed about work like the rest of the nation and won't let me watch Jade's Wedding on Living TV and instead is watching some terrible vampire film!
